With that very first clip of him dancing from the end of S5, I was all getting ready to start with the :((... or maybe just because it was him dancing from the end of S5. Either way -- perfect song, and perfect perspective and all that. I love the bit with Ted and Emmett and the "I never mean to be mean", and it was good to finally see a vid of Brian and his imperfections. So BRAVA! And bring on the next one... can't wait for that to debut!

Insight and structure.. yay!

I heart this vid. I mean, throughout the whole series we see Brian grow up, slowly, but in unexpected ways. This vid is such a good picture of where he ends up. Sometimes it's frustrating to watch him struggle with figuring out what he's going to do with his life... he's got this tendency to push people away, but he does really need to be close to them, so he finds ways to draw them back to him. Your vid shows his conflicting feeling really well, with a very accurate Brian POV. And hey, it's not all sad... after all, Brian gets a big hug that the end!! It's bittersweet, really... and perfectly so.

You already know the parts of this I love. I love it all! Watching now, I especially love the expressions on the character's faces during some of the more emotional-sounding vocals.. like Lindsay telling Brian she has to go to Canada... and Brian opening his eyes during the breakup hug for "gentle"... gosh, Brian's poor little face!! Oh how I love him. :(

I love it!! I totally DO OMG!!! You got all the gentle moments of Brian. This gentle and vulnerable side of BK is less noticed, comparing to his tough,satirical face.

Wow, I am so blown away by this. Beautiful Brian vid (I mean that in both ways ;)) and a great look at what makes him tick especially in the latter seasons. Very inspiring. You kill me with the opening image because omg soo cute. I love how you use the music with the opening that is timed just right with the dancing and lights. Setting up the scene of Babylon was soo cool and I love how you have the aerial shot of him on "staring up into the solar system". I think the carnivale type music fits the showiness of Babylon, great clip choices there.The "stars"=people lining up was awesome and "want to sparkle for a moment" really brought out Brian's craving for attention. Showing the older, fatter guys dancing and Vic was *perfect* for showing Brian's growing old fears along with his face expressions that said so much.

I loved how you showed the two clips of Brian putting his arm around Justin, they flowed nicely into each other and show how happy he makes him the with the smiles. The chorus is soo aww producing with sweet poor Brian being left and the lyrics are so Brian with "not as young/brave". I especially loved Deb's touch to his cheek. "Listening for things I cannot see" was perfect for showing his fears about people thinking less of him especially with Brandon showing his insecurities. "I've always needed to be needed by someone" is just soo him and I like how you show that through various people.

It was wonderful for you to show him with Emmett and Ted that although he can be mean with them, he still does care about them and will help them out in little ways. Soo cute with the Justin smiles, fit the gentle well. I looved "can't switch myself..off" with the comic book, that he can't help being himself and having his beliefs even if it means interfering with a friendship (or more). I loved how you hit those beats with those beautiful moments from the Lindsey, Gus, Michael and finally Justin kiss along with showing the two handshakes/holds. I love how you go back to Brian dancing alone, but this time it feels like he's happy and thankful for everything in his life and ending it with the hug just makes that even more clear. I love Brian like no other so I'm so glad to see a vid about him with footage you don't often see that's so well edited. I love it!

That was wonderful! :D I haven't watched QaF (just know it from some great vids), but I had no problem following this, and more importantly, getting sucked into his character. And I *love* what you did with the club lights in general, but especially at the beginning and end.

Okay, so first, I can't even believe you made a Brian vid to this song. No, wait, I can. Because you are a genius. GENIUS. I ♥ this song so so so much.

Secondly, just the opening still shot of Lindsay and Brian from 1.01 BROKE me. So I just know the rest of the vid will too. Reactions as I watch (It's paused right now so I could start this comment):

1:17 - "I'm not as brave as I was" You've already perfectly captured all of Brian's vulnerability and we're only a minute and seventeen into the vid!
1:30 - Fantastic pause blackout.
1:39 - Him turning his head so his ear is the focal point for "listening" is omggenius.
2:24 - The Emmett and Ted parts. :((

The opening and closing with him dancing in 5/13 might've broken me, especially when they're all on the podium at the very end and then it blings and it's over.

You have broken my heart and then mended it again with Brian love. I think you said it best at the start of your post. And now I'm going to go cry for a million years while rewatching this vid, thanks.
